Ģý Nursing Faculty Member Sharon Alexander Named 2024 Alumnus of the Year

Ģý (Ģý) is thrilled to announce that Sharon Alexander, a dedicated educator, nurse, and community advocate, has been named the 2024 Ģý & ĢýD's Alumnus of the Year. A graduate of Ģý’s esteemed nursing program, Alexander has made a profound impact on healthcare and education within Ģý and beyond.
Since earning her Associate Degree in Nursing in 1981, Alexander has exemplified the values of compassion, expertise, and service. She has held leadership roles at Ģý Community Hospital and Parkview Community Hospital and now serves as a full-time faculty member at Ģý, where she mentors aspiring nurses and ensures the next generation of healthcare professionals is well-prepared for the challenges ahead.
In addition to her academic contributions, Alexander is a driving force behind the Ģý Free Clinic. For the past decade, she has coordinated Ģý nursing students' participation, empowering them to provide compassionate care to underserved populations. Her leadership extends to Ģý’s Nursing Alumni Panel and collaborations with Moreno Valley College to deliver health screenings to vulnerable communities.
