Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ Announces 2024-2025 Educating for Change Scholarship

The Foundation for California Community Colleges (FoundationCCC), in partnership with Ä¢¹½´«Ã½'s Student Financial Services Office, is excited to announce the availability of the 2024-2025 Educating for Change Scholarship. This scholarship provides financial support to California Community College students who have a parent incarcerated in a prison administered by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR).

Award: Maximum $500 per semester

Application Period: January 3, 2025 – January 31, 2025

Please note: Funds are limited, and the scholarship will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. The number of recipients will depend on the number of applicants, with recipients selected through a lottery system.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Enrollment in a California Community College
  • At the time of application, the student must have a parent in prison administered by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. The term "parent" includes a biological or adoptive parent, step-parent, foster parent, or legal guardian.
  • The student must be enrolled in at least 12 units. Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ will verify enrollment at the time of disbursement.
